Experience the Difference

“I think this is what people think CBD should feel like.”

“I’ve been documenting every session and have included smokenol as well. It’s very different from regular CBD for me!”

“I’ve used other CBD products and none of them have given me this much relief.”

“I started using the topical body butter and the hemp smoke extract recently and have found them to be incredibly effective for many different applications…”

“I’ve had difficulty finding CBD products that have a noticeable effect – until I tried these products. I would often ask myself, ‘is it working?’ Not with this…”

“I was SO excited to try the Profound Naturals hemp smoke extract and it didn’t disappoint! I’ve tried many oils over the years and this is the most effective and calming by far. I immediately noticed myself feeling a bit more zen…”

“These folks are great and so is their product. I’ve had difficulty finding CBD products that have a noticeable effect – until I tried these products. I would often ask myself, “is it working?” Not with this. Their extraction process is also incredibly unique. It allows you to get the ideal more-potent smoking effect through edibles, because they extract all the goodness from the smoke. Truly great stuff.”

Q:  Will these products make you fail a drug test?

A:  Although Smokenol Day hemp smoke extract contains only minute traces of delta-9 THC (if any), it includes additional cannabinoids which, although different, look chemically similar. Some tests may not be able to differentiate them. To be safe, assume you will.

Q: Are any of the cannabinoids in Smokenol Day hemp smoke extract synthesized or artificial?

A: No. Cannabinoids and other compounds naturally transform when ‘smoked’ (heated). We use no chemicals, high pressure, or other artificial mechanisms to do this. We simply heat ground hemp in an oven at temperatures high enough to create smoke and then use our patented filtration method to capture cannabinoids, terpenes, and some of the plant’s fatty acids from the smoke.

Why CBD and High Heat?

CBD and other cannabinoids such as CBG and CBN occur naturally in hemp. Individually and in concert, they have documented effects on the brain and body.

Before they can be used in topical or other products they must be extracted from the hemp plant. Conventional methods do this using solvents at low temperatures (sometimes very low) out of concern that higher temperatures will degrade the cannabinoids.

But research shows that hemp extracts made at high temperatures offer unique benefits and may be more effective. High heat transforms CBD and other cannabinoids into many other cannabinoids, creating a richer and much more diverse profile of active ingredients (without the use of chemicals). And, of course, you need heat to produce smoke.

Our patented extraction method harvests CBD as well as other cannabinoids such as CBT, CBG, CBE, and CBN from hemp smoke while leaving behind less desirable compounds. This enables us to create products having active ingredients and effects unlike any other.

What is hemp?

Hemp is defined by the US government as cannabis with a very low THC content (no more than 0.3%). THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol) causes the intoxicating effects of cannabis. THC and CBD (cannabidiol) are two of many cannabinoids naturally found in the hemp plant. These compounds interact with the body individually and in concert to cause certain effects.

What’s the difference between hemp and cannabis?

Usually the term “cannabis” describes high-THC cannabis that is psychoactive and makes you feel ‘high’. Hemp is a different type of cannabis that contains an extremely low amount of THC by weight (less than 0.3%), but contains higher amounts of other cannabinoids that have known targets in the body.

If you think of it like the spiciness of different types of peppers – high-THC cannabis is like jalapenos and hemp cannabis is like bell peppers. But just because bell peppers aren’t spicy doesn’t mean they can’t add to a dish, and the same can be said about hemp.

Hemp has been used by humans for thousands of years. Our first documented use of hemp was to use the fiber to create ropes in the late stone age! And while hemp does not contain significant amounts of THC, it does contain other cannabinoids (including CBD) which can have beneficial effects of their own that are different from THC but don’t make you high.
